The technical floor directly influences the physico-chemical parameters of the water by lowering the KH and the pH.
Treated at very high temperature (about 1200°C), it does not contain parasitic species that could contaminate the aquarium.
Powdery in appearance, AQUASHRIMP POWDER is fine enough to prevent shrimp eggs from sinking into the ground.
At the same time, AQUASHRIMP POWDER is porous enough to promote the optimal development of plants and their roots, to facilitate the attachment of bacteria and to optimize water quality.
Description
AQUASHRIMP POWDER is ready to use. It is not necessary to rinse it.
A 3 liter / 3 kg bag is sized for a 20 liter aquarium corresponding to a soil thickness in the aquarium of 5 to 6 cm.
Approximately 150 g of soil per liter of water should be used.
The powdery texture of AQUASHRIMP POWDER allows shrimp to lay their eggs and keep them on the surface, preventing them from sinking to the bottom of the aquarium.
- Fill the aquarium with approximately 1 cm of dechlorinated water. Optional: if you have BACTERKIT SOIL from PRODIBIO, add it to the water at this time.
- If the aquarium is not intended to be planted, or very little, add AQUASHRIMP POWDER directly to the centimeter of water. Thanks to its porosity, AQUASHRIMP POWDER absorbs all the water. Optional: If the aquarium hosts a large number of plants, a layer of AQUAGROWTH SOIL should be added beforehand. Indeed, each granule of AQUAGROWTH SOIL, whose size varies from 1 to 3 mm, is compact enough not to turn into powder.
- This aspect is more suitable for the development of plants and their roots. Once the AQUAGROWTH SOIL is in the aquarium, add a 2 to 3 cm layer of AQUASHRIMP POWDER. This will prevent shrimp eggs and young shrimp from getting trapped in the ground and help them stay on the surface.
- Add decoration to the aquarium (rock, aquatic wood, etc.) and arrange it as desired.
- To avoid creating holes in the floor and to keep the aquarium design intact, gently add water until the floor is covered. Optional: in the case of a planted aquarium, add the plants and the rest of the decor.
- Finish filling the aquarium with dechlorinated water. It is possible for soil fragments to float to the surface. If so, remove them with a scoop.
- After the aquarium is completely filled, the water may become cloudy for a few hours. It clears up as soon as the filtration is started.
- Start the aquarium and introduce fish and shrimp safely with the full range of PRODIBIO products.
