AQUAGROWTH SOIL is our enriched technical soil allowing the development of plants and roots in a freshwater aquarium.
This is real technical soil of volcanic origin collected in Japan. It was treated at very high temperature (1500°C).
AQUAGROWTH SOIL provides optimal bacteria attachment and guarantees clear, limpid water. It does not contain parasitic species that can contaminate the freshwater aquarium.
AQUAGROWTH SOIL has been laboratory tested (microbiological, chemical, radioactivity and pollutant tests), all results are available.
PRODIBIO has carefully selected the composition of the AQUAGROWTH SOIL floor from among many mineral compositions.
Its balanced formulation promotes optimal growth of aquatic plants and rapid development of the root system.
AQUAGROWTH SOIL is ready to use and requires no prior rinsing or preparation.Indeed, treated at very high temperature (around 1500°C), it does not contain any parasitic species that could contaminate the aquarium.
The technical floor directly influences the physico-chemical parameters of the water by lowering the KH and the pH.
Each granule of AQUAGROWTH SOIL, which varies in size from 1 to 3 mm, is compact enough not to turn into powder. In addition, the porosity of AQUAGROWTH SOIL facilitates the attachment of bacteria and optimizes water quality.
Description
AQUAGROWTH SOIL is ready to use. It is not necessary to rinse it.
A 9 liter / 9 kg bag is sized for a 60 liter aquarium corresponding to a soil thickness in the aquarium of 5 to 6 cm which favors a good anchoring of the root system of the plants.
- Fill the aquarium with approximately 1 cm of dechlorinated water. Optional: if you have BACTERKIT SOIL from PRODIBIO, add it to the water at this time.
- Add AQUAGROWTH SOIL directly to the centimeter of water. Thanks to its porosity, AQUAGROWTH SOIL absorbs all the water. Model the floor as desired, for example by creating a slope from the back to the front of the aquarium. Optional: If the aquarium hosts shrimp, it is recommended to add a layer of AQUASHRIMP POWER above that of AQUAGROWTH SOIL. Thanks to its powdery texture, the shrimp’s eggs will stay on the surface when they are laid. In the absence of AQUASHRIMP POWER, young shrimp may have difficulty lifting themselves to the soil surface.
- Add decoration to the aquarium (rock, aquatic wood, etc.) and arrange it as desired.
- To avoid creating holes in the floor and to keep the aquarium design intact, gently add water until the floor is covered.
- Add the plants and the rest of the decor.
- Finish filling the aquarium with dechlorinated water. It is possible for soil fragments to float to the surface. If so, remove them with a scoop. After the aquarium is completely filled, the water may become cloudy for a few hours. It will clear up as soon as the filtration is connected.
- Start the aquarium and introduce fish and shrimp safely with the full range of PRODIBIO products.
- CHLORAL RESET removes chlorine and chloramines from tap water.
- START UP initiates the nitrogen cycle and starts the biological filtration before introducing the first fish.
- The regular addition of BIOCLEAN FRESH ensures optimal water quality and facilitates the maintenance of the aquarium.
- If the aquarium is planted, BIOVERT PLUS and BIOVERT ULTIMATE are perfect nutrient solutions for your plants, and safe for shrimps and molluscs.
