EHEIM Filter Pads for Classic External Filters

Genuine EHEIM replacement filter pads designed for selected EHEIM Classic external filters. Choose from coarse, fine or activated carbon filter pads according to your filtration needs.

Option 1: Coarse Filter Pad – 2 Pieces

Suitable for mechanical and biological filtration.

The porous foam is evenly saturated with water and helps trap both large and small dirt particles. After a short running-in period, beneficial purification bacteria colonise the structured foam and support the biological breakdown of harmful substances.

Option 3: Activated Carbon Filter Pad – 3 Pieces

Designed for short-term adsorptive filtration.

Activated carbon filter pads help remove dissolved chemical substances such as chlorine, medication residue and other unwanted contaminants. They are commonly used during aquarium start-up or after medication treatment.

Cleaning Instructions

For coarse and fine filter pads, rinse gently using aquarium water and squeeze lightly. Avoid over-cleaning, as this may remove too much of the beneficial bacteria culture.

• Select the correct pad type and size for your EHEIM Classic filter model.
• Activated carbon pads are intended for temporary use only.
• Remove activated carbon during medication treatment unless otherwise directed by the medication manufacturer.
