The reddish Eriocaulon plant originates from India and is one of the recent additions to the aquatic hobby. The submerged form are relatively short with adult plants around 2 - 3 inches tall. It is reddish at the base with leaves fading to orange/green towards the tips.

As good light and CO2 levels promote steady growth, we do not recommend this plant to be shaded. It grows particularly well in quality aqua soils such as Prodibio AquaGrowth Soil.

Due to its delicate nature, the plant should be handled carefully and gently as it can be easily flattened. It should be kept in water with low alkalinity and it is sensitive to KH.

As a short plant - it is recommended to to direct the flow of CO2 to the substrate zone.
